Review by hotel critic
If you're heading to Geneva for business, Hôtel Astoria is a solid choice for your corporate retreat. Its prime location across from Gare Cornavin means you're just minutes from key places like the UN and WTO. The convenience of trams and buses nearby makes getting around a breeze, so you can squeeze in some sightseeing between meetings. During my two-night stay, I appreciated the reliable Wi-Fi; it allowed me to catch up on work seamlessly. The bar and lounge area offered a nice atmosphere to unwind after a long day of presentations. With 24-hour reception and express check-in/out, the staff ensured that everything was smooth and efficient. Plus, the in-room kettle made it easy to enjoy coffee whenever I needed a boost while working. The room had a fair size and a decent view of the church, which added a nice touch. While there was no bedside table, the narrow ledge above the bed provided a bit of space. I also liked having a fridge for my snacks, with plenty of supermarkets nearby for breakfast supplies. Hôtel Astoria balances comfort and functionality, making it a practical base for business travelers.
